OVERVIEW

Transflo is a commercial logistics software company that provides white-labeled, fleet management software solutions, and in 2013 operated a network of document scanning machines located at truck stops and gas stations throughout the country. Back then, partner carrier truck drivers had to drive to a scanning location, walk in, and manually scan trip-related documents such as proof of delivery and accident reporting forms in order to transmit them back to admins for approval.

With relatively new scanning technology becoming available on mobile devices, my team and I at Cloud Castle helped Transflo replace the big and bulky document scanners with more user-friendly mobile apps.
OPPORTUNITY

Transition document scanning from legacy truck stop machines to iPhone and Android mobile apps and camera.
DESIGN

As an associate product manager I worked with the Transflo executive team to define app requirements for each feature by writing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. I then designed the UI wireframes and UX flows, and oversaw the design direction for high fi screen designs to make sure they adhered to Apple and Android design guidelines, as well as Transflo's branding, while accommodating basic white labeled branding for partner carriers. I also co-managed the development timeline in coordination with the Transflo CTO and Cloud Castle Design and Development Team Leads, and removed team blockers as needed.
Core features included:
• Load management (pick up and drop off status updates)
• Document scanning
• Accident reporting
• Chat with a dispatcher
• Truckstop deals
